A Wedding of a Lifetime

Sabrina Wizman Shares Her Day to Remember

Your wedding day: The most important moment of your life, a day to be captured forever in your memory and that of your groom’s. You want more than anything for it to be perfect and, more importantly for there to be a sense of timelessness about it. The hoopla that surrounds it can be as simple and quiet or as elaborate and expensive as you want it to be...

The Cycle Of Life:

Children, Nannies, Young Adults,
Dating, Weddings, Babies, Nannies…

We have all watched the Supernanny show and marveled at Jo Frost’s techniques for disciplining toddlers and empowering parents. The show’s producers, Ricochet Television, are launching a related series and although the show has not yet been named, the search is on for this new show’s star, who in all likelihood may be male (page 40).

In the aftermath of the Virginia Tech massacre, our Manny Diaries (page 36), written by Nathan Fassnacht, draws attention to the fact that children do get exposed to this kind of violence on television and their fears don’t just go away. There are ways to comfort children, and it is the responsibility of the caregivers and the parents to do so.

On a brighter note, with June being the most popular month for weddings we have put together some of the best wedding information and details. Our cover bride, Sabrina Wizman, certainly got married in style and we tell you all about it on page 76. Many couples are choosing to travel abroad for their big day. Francis Trammell writes about two amazing destination weddings in South Africa and Italy on page 84. Jewelry alternatives are another big thing these days and instead of wearing a diamond just like everyone else, how about an emerald, ruby or sapphire? All these stones still represent love, but with a bit of color for good measure. Read more about this on page 60.

Also in this issue, we uncover the very real threat that you face in regard to security for your wedding. Wedding crashers do abound, so don’t be a victim. On page 44 Michael McCann makes sure you have a safe and secure wedding on your big day.

Russell Dandridge uncovers three of the best places to have a bachelor party on page 68, and golf is included as well. From the tried, and, true traditional courses in New York to the sweeping California coastline at Torrey Pines, getting together with the boys couldn’t be more well-placed than these three extravagant golf destinations.

Don’t forget to turn to the Memoirs of a Celebrity Butler and Michael Holly’s account of a wedding that almost ended up in disaster because the church was in direct competition with the bride (page 34).

And remember, June is the time that love is in the air, so spread some love yourself to your friends, your neighbors and even strangers—a little love goes a long way.
